The staff at Charnley House are the ones who make it the place it is for the residents, and as such we highly value all our staff.  We continually invest in our people, we take training and staff development very seriously.  We believe that having the best staff results in providing the best care, as such 81% of our staff have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and 54% have Level 3.  We have one staff member has an RMA.We also consider keeping hold of our staff to be very important for our residents, the continuity of care and friendships that form between staff and residents is fantastic for quality of care.  We are proud of our staff retention, at time of writing our average time at Charnley House for staff is almost 9 years.  Unlike some other homes we do not use bank staff or contracted staff carers for the care within our home and the staff we have are likely to be for a good period of time which helps relationships develop.

We are incredibly proud of the staff at Charnley House, and we believe they are the best people for the job.  All our staff have Enhanced CRB checks before employment to ensure they are safe and appropriate to work with the elderly and other vulnerable adults.
